    Default How bad is this squat?

    • starting strength seminar april 2024
    • starting strength seminar jume 2024
    • starting strength seminar august 2024
    How's it going guys, was messing around with singles the other day, first time i've squatted this weight is there anything major I should be working on?

    Lee- Your grip is wide and your knees are traveling forward at the bottom.

    Yea. And I'm assuming that was a max effort single, doubtful there is all that much value in analyzing those. How about a work set?

    A challenging set of 5 would be more helpful. In the meantime, widen your stance so your heels are under your shoulders and turn your toes out about 30 degrees.

    Thanks guys yes it was a max effort single, I figured that's my form at its worst lol, but I will record my next set of 5 see if that's any better

    Really weird thing is, I used to squat with a wider stance but it wrecks my hips when weights get heavy, not sure if that's a flexbility thing

    I have what looks like the same rack. Would never trust It with 170 kg.
    Only two of four sides of each section welded, hope yours is better

    No mine definitely isn't better it's a piece of junk 😂

    However I spent most of money on the bar and plates at the time, I try not to use it but the gym near me is atrocious so I avoid it wherever possible
