So I’ve been working on the Paul Hour stretch and my right collar bone has been very sore nbd but my hands keep falling asleep and now my left ring finger has been asleep all day. So I’m not doing that anymore. I’m thinking out loud here but probably going to go back to a fairly wide grip and dropping my pinkies off the bar.
Is having my hands close really that important?? I mean if my back is tight and the bar doesn’t move and my wrist and elbows don’t hurt, then why work on bringing my grip closer?? I genuinely don’t get it. I’ve been reading articles on here about the rack position and watching YouTube And it makes sense, but I can’t help but think “yeah but my back is tight with a wide grip” also my finger has been asleep all day.
How common is it for someone to actually HAVE TO use a wide grip?????

I’ll post a video when I squat on Friday. I want to get this figured out so I’m gonna keep trying to get my hands in very gradually. I probably just need to get coaching lol
