    Default Squat/OHP/DL Form

    Hi!

    Can someone check my form please? I'm 5'8 @ 165 lbs on Week 8 of SS Novice and here are my lifts in the videos:

    Squat 260x5
    OHP 105x5
    DL 340x5

    Hey Kris,

    Squats look good except you need to take a big breath at the top and hold it until you stand back up to reinforce tightness the whole time. You are finishing the inhale during the descent and exhaling before you get back to the top.
    Wrists need to be straight in the Press. I also could not tell if your thumbs were actually around the bar either? These are also strict presses. Not sure if that was your intent or not.
    Deadlifts need to be reset completely between reps. No bouncing!

    1. I'll try to take bigger breaths and hold them for the full descent. I actually think this will make a huge different in my power as I was feeling like I was getting gassed.
    2. Ya, I'll have to work on my wrists. I did not wrap my thumbs. For some reason it feels better, but if this is incorrect, I will definitely fix it ASAP while I'm still pressing light.
    3. Ok that makes sense. I'm using straps right now too, so I bet that will eliminate the need for straps.
