Squat help
Thanks for any help I can get on this.
before posting this thread I looked it over to figure out what I'm doing wrong (to the best of my knowledge).
- I think I'm trying to keep my torso too upright and not getting a good back angle.
- My wrist placement is not ideal but I struggle to stay tight with my thumbs over the bar. I don't think I'm as tight as I could be even with thumbs wrapped.
- I wasn't going to parallel but I think that's due to worrying about hitting the safety bars and losing balance. I'll try bringing them down a level because I can otherwise normally get low enough.
Also, at the top of the squat when I lock my hips I feel a painful stretching feeling in my glutes. Could they be tight? Maybe it's a form issue? I want to make sure I can correct this so I can avoid a potential injury in the future. Any Ideas?
I'm assuming I'm missing something that I'm doing wrong so hopefully you guys can help me. Thanks, I Appreciate it guys.
This is the last set of 245 (best angle I could get by myself):
