Do you have a shoulder issue that causes you to lock it out more forward?
Do you have a shoulder issue that causes you to lock it out more forward?
LOL...You saw that. Yes, dislocated left shoulder 3-4 times in my 20's and 30's and it won't straighten out.
My form gets a little better in flats... I had lifting shoes on today.
Makes the low bar squat impossible-ish.
will the presses pass considering?
Thanks Pete.
All I do is stare at sweaty people moving for a living, so you tend to notice these things.
Is it painful to lock the bar out any further back or does it just feel "blocked"?
Pete.
Here is the right side view... final set of 125x4 back off set last week if this helps.
Thanks again.
I know you have a limited ROM here. My concern is the increased lumbar extension as you try to get the bar to go back further than your shoulders will allow. So you compensate by leaning back more. You'll have to focus on keeping the anterior trunk tight. If you're going to do this style of press, you need to break up the reps and retighten everything mid-set. So lock it out, hold it, re-breathe and tighten the abs, then go. Or go to a press style with the hip action that starts from the bottom to make sure you're able to get and stay tight for each rep.
