    Male, age 39, height 5'5", weight143 pounds.

105 kg (231 pounds) on the bar.

Deadlifting in a pair of lifting shoes (1" heel drop) for the first time. I had been using wrestling shoes (0 heel drop) till now. I felt a bit weird due to the raised heel in the first rep.

I can clearly see some back flexing. I know that I need to gain some more weight, but techniquewise how can I correct this and the other issues, if any?

First you need to fix your setup. Your knees are too far back. They should be flush with the front of your arms. This will have your hips a bit lower and the bar over mid foot.

    Thank you Coach Courtland.

I have hurt my back. I don't know if it was from the egregious form in the video presented above or because of the 6 hour drive that followed. Anyway I took a break from squatting and deadlifting today (just did the warm up sets and stopped there). I will come back with a corrected form for further guidance as soon as I deadlift again.
