    Its getting tough to grip my work sets. Beat up hands from jiu jitsu I think.

    "It's getting tough" is not really interesting. Did you drop a work set on the floor?

    Haven't dropped one, but was unable to pull the 4th rep a few sessions ago. Re-attempted with straps and got my 5. So I assumed grip was the limiting factor. Been doing my work sets with them since.

    What grip were you using when you couldn't pull the weight? Grip shouldn't be a problem if you are doing over/under (my preference) or hook. Straps are a good way to weaken your grip strength.

    You reattempted with some rest and got your 5. And your low back is not in extension.
