    It happens.

    Think about making no noise off the ground - your jerking the bar off the ground.

    Keep the bar on your skin the entire time.

    I have not tried hook but I will next workout on Sunday and post a video. Ok no noise off the ground makes sense I see me yanking it for sure. Scrape legs the whole way got it! Hey thanks man I really appreciate the cues I will let you know how it goes!

    You're welcome. Since this is your first time using hookgrip, do it on all sets on Sunday. After that, just do it on the final warm up and workset.

    Here is today’s workout.

    I tried my best to not yank it off the ground while still using enough force to pull it. Didn’t use hook grip because I felt very strong in my hands since I just got off work (excuse the cargo pants, I had to train right after work which was unplanned)

    There are some attire deviations I'm pedantic about. Deadlifting in cargo pants isn't one of them.

    This is an improvement. Try to squeeze it off the ground even slower. There's still some jerk off the ground.
