    Post Squat Form Check

    • starting strength seminar april 2024
    • starting strength seminar jume 2024
    • starting strength seminar august 2024
    Form check please

    Comments from last post were to break hips and knees at the same time and adjust gaze to look down more



    Also is it better to post form checks more regularly to pick up any form creep, or only post when you think you have addressed all points from previous form checks and think my form is good?

    Personally, I try to fix everything I can before a form check by watching videos of others and comparing to mine. If your squat is horrendous, it makes sense that you'll get basic feedback, and if it is near perfect you'll get more refined feedback. I'd rather not clog up the forum with obvious stuff that's already been addressed.

    Secondly, it's gratifying when you pick up a cue from the book or forum and immediately your lift feels better.

    Yeah. We recommend going through other form checks first, as it's pretty likely someone else has the same issue.
