It's not the shoes. Narrow her grip by 3 fingers, and cue her knees out. Should fix it immediately.
I know, not to depth. Angle is eh.
I'm helping my niece. She's 15. I know she's bent over too far, but I don't know what 'cue' to give her to correct it. I think she may have long femurs, but I could be wrong.
Also, she doesn't really have a rear delt 'shelf' for the bar to rest.
She's only training 2 days a week. She's not going to get shoes. It's just awesome that she wants to do this.
Thank you for helping me help her.

I keep forgetting they (her and my daughter are both doing this) are, uh, more flexible than I am in the shoulder area.
Knees out and three fingers in will solve both the shoulder 'shelf' and her being too bent over, correct?
Thanks for responding.
Very sorry for multiple posts... Moving the hands in will also help solve the elbows up issue, right?
If you explain it correctly.
This is much improved, correct? She's still not hitting depth, and looks to me to be way too bent over. But knees are better.
What is the 'cue' for the back angle? I know I need to tell her to go lower 'an inch'. I'll fix the wrists later.
If the kids continue to train and show interest, , I plan to drive them to see Pete... I'm not equipped to coach them out of bad habits. Until then, they are stuck with me.....as of now two weeks in (only training 2 days per week), they are very enthusiastic, which is really great.
Won't post anymore unless I get really stumped. Don't want to abuse this.
