I’ve returned to training and restarted NLP after a nine-week layoff with illness. I’d like to make sure I haven’t unlearned my squat and deadlift. These videos are from my second day back at it.

Height is six feet, weight is 230.

    Today’s Squat, 225x5x3: 3/17 Squat 225x5 - YouTube

    Today’s Deadlift, 315x5: 3/17 Deadlift 315x5 - YouTube

    Thank you!

SQ: You are descending a bit fast and crashing in the bottom causing a lot of reps to be too deep and loose. Control the descent and aim for just below parallel. Also film from the 45 in the future please.

DL: You are squeezing yourself backwards resulting in vertical shins and weight in your heels. It's less of an issue in the later reps, but in those later reps you are squeezing and dropping your hips causing the bar to knock forward. Keep the steps distinctly separate. Get your setup, set your gaze, then squeeze your back flat without letting your hips drop.
