I think I'm going to get blasted for this, but I'd rather get blasted and fix it than keep messing up (if I'm messing up).

I've hit 315 on my deadlift. It was tough, but I'm getting the 5 reps in. My question is more about how I go about doing the reps. Since deadlift programming calls for a single set of 5, is there anything wrong with doing a rep, walking away from the bar, completing the 5 step set up again, then executing the next rep? If I'm walking away after every deadlift rep and going through the 5 steps every time, am I categorized as "YNDTP"?

Yes, YNDTP. Letting go of the bar between reps is not a set of 5.

In an attempt to save face, I only did that this week. Still not what I want or what I should be doing. But now I know. Thanks for the reply!
