    You are setting up with the bar behind mid foot. Position the bar over mid foot (knot of the shoelaces). Once you complete the setup with the bar in this position your shins should be angled forward a bit. The later reps the bar settles closer into the mid foot position, but you want to start it there from the get go. Next, squeeze your back a lot slower. Think of waving the squeeze from the top to the bottom of your back vertebrae by vertebrae and as you do...pull all of the slack out of the bar. Think of getting the full weight of the bar in your hands as you squeeze your back. Finally initiate the pull with knees back, keeping your shoulders in front of the bar.
