    Default 7/18 Deadlift form check (fixed video set-up)

    Hey all, found a friend with better recording capability than me. Also took some pictures of my stance.

    Noticed that my arm is more out than it should be--trying to get used to mixed grip. It looks way worse than it felt.

    Hips are too low and you're not getting all of the slack out of the system when you set your back. You should hear the click of the bar against the plates when you set your back and before you break it off the ground.
    Push the floor away with your feet to start rather than opening your chest.

    On hips being too low, where would you say that's coming from? I'm not thinking about my hips until I set my knees/shins, and the only thing I'm thinking is to not lower them.

    You're set up too far from the bar and then you're dropping them when you go to set your back.
