    Default Time between Deadlift reps?

During my work set of deadlifts, after each rep, I pace around then come back to the bar 30-45 seconds later for the next rep. Is this too long? Am I basically doing 5 sets of 1 as opposed to 1 set of 5? Am I better off dropping the weight, so I can lift 5 consecutive reps without any rest in between?

As it stands, I'm 7 weeks into my attempt to follow the program, and my deadlift is way ahead of everything else. It's also the only lift I've been more or less technically correct on since the beginning.

Your hands shouldn't leave the bar and you shouldn't have more than a few seconds between reps.

I've read the book. I keep going back to reference it as well. My mind does wander when I don't read for entertainment though, so I also rely on Rip's YouTube videos for my 'education'. I'm sure the answer to my question is in the book, but I must have glazed over it. Thanks again.
