    Hi guys,

Thanks a lot for your help.

    I'm a 40 year old Chinese woman, 5'6", 135 lbs. I started lifting late Feb 2022.
This video shows 225lb x 4 reps, with a supinated grip.

    Video link: (youtube deadlift)

I appreciate any and all guidance. Specifically, I'm hoping to learn:
    - whether I'm using my legs enough (my friends said my hips are too high and my lifts are "all back, no legs")
    - I always feel my butt twist around slightly during the pull, and I wonder if I need to correct that.
    - I notice my lifts are very slow. Is that a problem? If yes, any tips on how to improve? Just lift more?

Thanks for everything you do - I've been recommending your books, podcasts, and programs to every middle-aged woman I know. You guys are amazing.

    Best regards,

    Cynn S

Hips a little too low, knees a little too forward. Lose the gloves, they make gripping the bar harder.

There's also not necessarily a reason to descend that slowly since it's a bit of a waste of energy. The deadlift doesn't really have a focus on a slow eccentric. There are some videos about how to put down a deadlift somewhere that you could search up.

Thank you and I definitely agree with you. @GioFerrante.
That said, this is a company gym and it's right above the office area.
I already got people complaining about me deadlifting, at all. Sigh.
I will look for the videos showing how to put it down.
    THANK YOU!
