    27yo. Novice. 220lbs weight. 325 squat. 375 DL. 200 bench. 140 press.

    Chins - YouTube

Here’s my chin-ups from today. I think this is definitely my biggest weakness area. Was a bit late adding them into my NLP, but have worked up to 3 sets of 4 chins. I can’t help but think my form has plenty of room for improvement, so have at it..

    Thanks!

Thank you. I was worried about two things
    1) Movement in my lower body/legs on the way up
    2) Whether or not I was locking my elbows out enough to consider them full reps.

    Appreciate all that you do.

I vaguely recall Rip’s advice on this from long ago. Something like: “Chest to the bar, repeatable form.”

I wrap a narrow bit of astro-turf-like carpet a few times around the bar and secure it with bright duct tape - my chest bumper. It’s an easy and obvious target.
