    Hi all,

(Texas Method) My form seems alright on my volume days but on the intensity day i can't seem to stop myself from leaning back at TON.

Is the suggestion to deload to a point where the bodylean isnt as bad and then work up from there?

Most i have ever been able to press is a 78kg single (83kg BW 5 "7)

    Here is 72.5kg:

You can see my volume work on my instagram:

    Thanks,
    Henry

One rep is not super helpful for technique, but if this is representative of your pressing, you need to get way tighter in your abs and knees.
Can I see a whole body video? I want to see your stance.

Get tighter and get the bar back earlier. The bar stops because it's forward of the midfoot after the hip movement is done and then you're not strong enough to overcome the moment arm, so the bar has to travel back to get over the midfoot before it starts going up again.

And your belt is not tight enough. Also, pick one user name and delete the other one.

Sorry Mark I will delete the other account - I've lent away from a post to get the belt as tight as possible as described in a Starting Strength youtube tutorial - its just the buckle sticks out slightly (its a warn old belt).

Here my most recent volume day attempt which is abit embarrassing - I tried keeping in mind the advice kindly given by Andrew Lewis (I had missed my intensity bench/volume OHP session the week previous due to a Christmas gathering).

Heres a previous volume day which i think looks better (sorry for the bad quality I had to do a screen record as i lost the original footage):

Heres a 70kg x 2 - however I threw myself off balance on the second rep which i think is interesting - you can see my weight being pushed backed onto my heels:

From the looks of things would you agree I am misinterpreting the que to puff your chest out at the start and instead leaning back right at the start thereby screwing everything up?

I have got anterior pelvic tilt from sitting down all day at work which could be having an impact also.

    Thanks,
    Henry

I don't know if it's just me but the first and third links in the last post won't play for me. The second does.

I am vaguely aware that the school of thought here is that anterior pelvic tilt as a concept is bunk but I need to do some reading into the argument.

Sorry I couldn't work out how to edit my original post here are the working videos:

You are not locking the bar out at the top, not finishing the shrug.

    Hi all,

Here are some more recent attempts - trying to take the advice given and remain more upright - I think getting the back tight que wrong previously and leaning back from the get go (putting myself in a bad starting position).

    Hopefully an improvement?:

Sorry about the bad angles - filming isn't super easy in my gym.
