Hello! I wanted to share a lift that happens to be a pretty cool milestone for me. I hit a 500lb single for the very first time about 2 years ago. It was shaky, my torso was too vertical, and it was definitely a touch high. Last night, I was able to hit a smooth set of 5 at 500lbs. I would love for some feedback on these. I see some forward knee slide as I reach depth on all 5 reps. I normally face the opposite direction when squat, meaning that I look out into the room instead of staring at the wall 2 feet in front of me. I think this messed with my depth perception a bit and I wasn't getting leaned over as much as I usually do. Any other critiques would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Is there a video of any of the Westside guys doing a deep set of 500x5?
31 years old. I've been running 4 day version of the Texas method for about 3 years now and it has pushed my lifts far beyond what I thought was possible.
I'm currently setting new PRs every week which is pretty awesome considering I've been doing this a good long while now, lol.
It was 500x5 last week, 505x5 this week and I believe there is still plenty of room to keep running these up for a while.

Is there something going on with the grip or is the camera angle/resolution just making it look like there is an asymmetry?
Yeah, it looks like he isn't actually gripping the bar with the fingers of the left hand. Or at least only with the last 2-3 fingers from the left?
But what do I know, I'm just a novice squatting sub-300.
