    Hey all,

I'm doing my novice linear progression, and wanted to get a second opinion on my squat.

In my opinion I am losing back angle on the way up, making my squat sort of a "good morning" squat. I feel like the bar gets over mid-foot at the very beginning of my ascent, which is the main cause of the issue. I also feel a lot of "tension" on my lower back going up, which is what is making me think I'm probably doing something wrong.

Video is of a set of five at 305 lbs (my working weight).

    Thank you.

These squats are above parallel. Do not post above-parallel squats on this board. You back is SUPPOSED to be under a lot of tension, and the only thing wrong other than the depth is that you're trying to lift your chest in the middle of the ascent. Stay in your hips. I think this has been mentioned in a video somewhere.
