Note that the bar jumps forward as it leaves the floor. What might be causing that?

    1) I thought setting up too close to the bar. I don’t think this is the case. I tried further back. Didn’t help and was definitely forward of the mid foot. So ruled this out.

    2) Carl Raghaven suggested at a camp that it’s a habit of pushing my shins forward. And to try to think of just pulling the knees back. I have tried that. It only seemed to work on the warm up sets.

    3) Something about my stance being too narrow and not being able to “push the floor away” adequately thus causing the problem. I tried a wider stance last week. Felt better but didn’t record it. Will do the same tomorrow and film to see.

    Thoughts on point number 3?

First rep better. The rest. Still happening but less prominent. It seems the left overhand side is worse. Maybe this is because I am not keep the lat tight enough ? The supine side I have always made an extra effort to.

You're not really dropping your hips, just letting your knees go into flexion. So, quads are getting loose. PUSH THE FLOOR AWAY from the bar with a knee extension.

Makes sense. Will give that a go. Thank you.
