I have had the Starting Strength books sitting on my shelf collecting dust for a few years now but recently decided to shift focus from Kettlebells and bodyweight to barbell. Once I began delving into the book, I determined that some in person coaching would be in order and have started working with a coach on the SS approach this week.

Seeking out strength training coaching isn't something I have really considered until now. However, I have quickly found that having someone who can guide me on the nuances of proper form and working through barriers to achieving it is proving to be worth its weight in gold. I've learned and achieved more in 2 sessions than I could have in 2 months of trying to wing it.

As to the SS approach itself, what I am feeling in how my body as I work on the approach is that it is, without exaggeration, the most efficient way in existence for building overall strength.

Best decision I have made.
