I appreciate the well-founded cynicism, but they are wrong in this case.

I get it though, it’s something about the name, I think: it’s too basic and descriptive. Maybe they would feel better if the syndrome had a more sciencey name? If we called it “nocturnal sensorimotor quasi-allodynia,” would that make them feel better?
