I like eggs. I would have continued to eat them even without this solid information. But with Dr. Sullivan's humor I will eat them with a smile.
By the way if you have issues with chicken eggs try duck eggs. Some people who can't handle chicken eggs can eat duck eggs and they are delicious.
I shared the link to a buddy, and he got irrationally angry at the first two minutes thinking you were serious.
Jonathan,
A couple of things ...
#1-The studies arguing either For or Against egg consumption...."one egg per day". Who does this!
One stinking egg. I'd say both sides are invalid.
7-8 grams of protein per egg. Never have seen chicken eggs rated so high, usually only 5-6 gram per egg on anything I've ever seen...do you eat vulture or ostrich eggs?
What?
Large eggs can have 7-8 grams. A lot of what you buy in the supermarket is smaller, yes. And probably not very rich in Omega-3s. I like local eggs: great big, brown, orange-yolked, tasty fuckers.

Just pointing this part out:
"Up to 1 egg per day" makes the whole thing mealiness don't you think? For example, the the (exact quote) Harvard study published in 1999, which had more than 120,00 human subjects, concluded that “Consumption of up to 1 egg per day is unlikely to have substantial overall impact on the risk of coronary heart disease or stroke among health
Who eats only "up to one egg per day"?
What is "up to" ? . . . Half an egg? tenth of an egg?
Even for a weekly average (3 eggs here 4 eggs there, over the course of a 7 day week) seems light on eggs, especially for the folks around these parts.
More sh!t science I guess?
I eat about 20-30 eggs a week.
Have enslaved my own ("free range") chickens for this purpose.
I am Pro Egg, but even I think quoting a study that says "up to 1 egg a day is fine", is sort of bad science,
when you know damn well most people (esp. those who are training, upping their dietary protein, etc)
are going to eat a lot more than "up to one egg per day".
I think even for the average Joe, "up to 1 egg per day" is joke.
