Hey Zoey. I think the best way to handle this is to have different stickers for people to use as they please. So instead of a men's and women's sticker, we'll just have 4 or 5 different ones with different numbers on them. I may differentiate the different "tiers" by color or something. Soon.
That seems low to me, too. I am also intermediate by those standards. I am 68 and only 6 weeks into LP. I would consider myself a novice, getting close to adv. novice. There is a different set of standards at Weightlifting Performance Standards
They are quite a bit heavier.
I dunno about the lower categories, but the Elite category tracks right along with what competing powerlifters accomplish at meets.
So keep progressing and enter a meet is my suggestion to you both. I competed for 4 years and set 2 state records (Raw Untested and Drug Tested when the USPA started the division) along with a national record and taking 1st place in the IPL Worlds in 2012.
The way you guys are smoking along just now, you should both be shoe ins down the road. Just sayin'.
A sticker with the Groucho Marx line: "I DON'T WANT TO BELONG TO ANY CLUB THAT WILL ACCEPT ME AS A MEMBER"
Maybe a shirt that says, "Lift Weights Like a Geezer." Could use an illustration similar to the cover of The Barbell Prescription.
