    Sea Hunt was great. I remember watching it at around 7pm on weekday nights on our old B&W TV that got three channels.

    Then there was the TV show The Aquanauts who also had the odd show or two featuring rapture of the deep.

    Not to mention Man and the Challenge. That guy did all kinds of shit besides just scuba around, but decompression chambers for diving and high altitude were featured prominently too.
