Ah, found them. Adidas Copa Zone Cushion II Sock - my favorites for deadlifts when the heat makes sweatpants more than a little uncomfortable.

Got a pair of the Strong ones and they work great. Of course the first time I used them on my second set of 5 last rep I actually twisted slightly with the bar and hurt my back. Now I have a very sore left lower back. Not the sleeves fault but grrrrr!
I thought I'd provide a better explanation of my previous post:
Attach a cheap neck pad like this Access Denied to the bar. Address the bar with your shins touching the pad and just drag it right up. The pad is very comfortable, doesn't interfere with the lift, and it's easy on, easy off for the next exercise. Not for the purist, but this works very well for me. Give it a try!
