    Or that was the easy example to suggest that there are more factors that may explain the difference between Stan and Shaw’s results versus many other lifters. Great (and interesting) information, but anecdotal.

    Sure it's a pubmed article, but they carry more credibility than Stan does. I understand that in a world of trying to be the best you need to micromanage everything. Maybe this gave him the edge he needed or eliminated a factor that might be a negative influence.
    I had the impression that the goal was to allow his gigantic untested athletes to eat 10,000 Kcal every day.

    I.e. it's not that broccoli isn't good for you, it's just that a human gut is only so big, and if you want to run that much food through it in 24 yours you have to avoid gassy stuff. Hence, mostly white rice and steak.

    Maybe for someone my size trying to eat 2500-3000 Kcal/day, he'd be fine with broccoli and beans.

    Thanks, I'll have to give that a look. I'm 55 but I had an ACL reconstruction and a scar tissue revision in my 40's.
