    It's interesting that he sets similar to the SS model. Looks like he drops his hips on the DL a bit more than an SSC would prefer ( especially subsequent reps) , but it looks as if he uses the SS setup for cleans and snatches ( high hips, no dynamic rolling start or S sweep).

    Im suprised he wears Olympic shoes to deadlift. I wear them for everything BUT deadlift. They tilt me over way too much.

    I agree that flats are better for most people. I've tried both, and while flats are a bit more comfortable, I never found it make any difference in what I can pull.

    Because cleans are so much lighter, I like Olympic shoes for cleans, howeever. The longer pull allows me to generate more bar speed, I think. But for tyhe deadlift, where speed is not a concern, it just makes for more work. And not in a good way, since Im already too tall (6'4-5")
