Hello people,
I have big problems being objective when I judge my own lifts, and I'd appreciate if another set of eyes could give me feedback. I was squatting an inch high earlier but I have changed my stance and I'm cuing myself to really bury it and catch a good bounce at the bottom now.
The book says that the crease of the hips must drop below parallel with the top of the patella, like this picture:

I have two pics where I have put markers on what I think is the top of the patella and the crease of the hip.

Are the markers correct? Is this proper depth? This is as deep as I can get while still remaining tight in my work sets.
Thanks for the help.

Video yourself from knee height from the side.
Put your thumb/fingers at the top of your patella and squat down keeping them there.
Then you should have a pretty good idea of where the top of your patella is in the bottom position.
I'd wager it's a lot higher than where you have marked (mine was, pleasant surprise!).
I'll try that next time, thanks.
I guess my depth is fine.
Depth is good! :-)
