    My bumpers are already relatively hard. They are the competition training ones, which I believe are on the harder end.

    I'm doing them exactly as instructed by Mark, so I'm surprised no one else has this issue.

    I bought some foam pads and will try that out. I will let you guys know how it goes.

    Are you using collars that give a good, solid clamp? I ask because I've only had skipping OL drops when using training-type bumper plates with no collars (no skipping with tight-fitting, better versions).

    Wait... prone or supine grip? Prone kills one of my elbows and the other shoulder now that I think of it. I've been rowing explosively, as shown by Rip in his row video, supinated.
