Back In Black (full album) got me through my LP.
Back In Black (full album) got me through my LP.
That lil 'ol band from Texas - Power Trip:
I was a teenager in the 00's and listened exclusively to hip-hop. Started listening to classic rock in my twenties. Now I'm in my thirties and just started lifting seriously again. This time I have been into the metal that kids in my highschool were all about. I'm finding all these cool "new" bands and songs and only listen to them while I'm lifting so there is a neat synergy going on between wanting to listen to this awesome shit and lift more weight.
Beat a long-standing DL 5RM PR to Pantera's Cemetary Gates last weak when that first heavy rift comes in. Destroyed it
Usually George Strait (don't laugh) between sets b/c his music is amazing and I lift better when I'm happy and focused.
Otherwise, just random songs that get me revved when needed.
Dave Matthews Band-"The Last Stop" (don't laugh)
Beastie Boys-"Sabotage"
Korn-"Freak on a Leash"
some others I can't recall on my playlist
Tons of old Metallica
AC dc for good lifting rock. Heartbreaker by led zeppelin ....sunday morning coming down by Johnny cash for heavy lifts, the david allan coe version for lighter lifts....lots of merle haggard maybe some george jones
i listen to certain styles of music throughout the year depending on what season it is and what my emotional state says is resourceful music....there isnt much i wont listen to ive grown an affinity to old music though
Dozer, Hellacopters, Sleep
For heavy squats my go to song is System of a Down's B.Y.O.B.
Get under the bar right at 2:16 in the song and blast through those reps.
