I just got a pair of Adipowers and used them for the second time tonight. I got them the same size as my dress shoe, 1/2 size less than the shoes I normally wear(Patagonia hiking shoes). I had been squatting barefoot, so the first time in the new shoes was a little strange, but they felt better tonight.

If you live in Canada, you can get the Adidas Power Perfect II (I believe they've been discontinued in the US). They were $100 before tax, so they're not much more expensive than the Power lifts.

If I am correct, I own the Adidas Powerlift 2.0. I have had them for a year (with hella heavy squats, dead, and other pulls) and they show no extraneous signs of wear. The heel, as I have experienced it, is incompressible.

It's a little bit compressible. More so than the PPII, which is probably more compressible than wood or rubber. But way, way less squishy than Chuck Taylors or running shoes.
