Thanks. I'm giving it what I've got.
Friday
Deadlift 550x3 but harder than I would've liked
Sumos 375x5,5
Press 155x10,10,12
Monday
High box squat 315x10
Squat 225x10
150 lb sandbag shoulders 5x2
--This patellar pain is severe. I can't take stairs. I'd wager I have large tears in both patellar tendons, which means I'm playing with fire.

—Took a planned deload on pulls. Knee was super inflamed and it’s about time for a light week. These sorts of injuries heal in spurts, so a linear approach won’t work anymore. I have to hit it hard on the days I can and back off on the days I can’t. On the bright side, it felt great to press 205 for sets of 5 for the first time since surgery. Upper body strength/muscles coming back nicely. Wish I could say the same for legs.

What do you think about sandbag presses?

They’re not really a way to build strength, just to exhibit it.
Today
Tempo pin squats 185 3x8
Pause bench 340x4,4,4
Sandbag clean and press 150x5 or so singles
—got the tempo pin squats from Cody who got them from Austin for patellar tendinitis. Will give them a try twice a week, adding 10 lbs per workout, for 2 months. The knees certainly didn’t enjoy them during or after today.

Today
Tempo pin squat 235x8, 275x1
GHRx15
I’ve settled on twice a week on these tempo (5-0-2) pin squats at one set of eight each workout. Feeling a little better and stronger between Friday and today. Two work sets of squat per week is enough considering my age and history.

—got sleep study results. AHI index is 104 (severe sleep apnea is considered anything over 30), I desaturated as low as 63%, and I spent almost the entirety of my sleep in stage 1, with no stage 3 sleep whatsoever, and only 6% REM sleep. CPAP titration will be in a few days, and hopefully I’ll have my CPAP at home by next week. This could be one reason my tendons are fucked up. I haven’t been getting any good sleep with growth hormone, etc for years. I’m hoping I’ll start to feel a lot better and my tendinitis will improve in a few weeks.
