    It was fine. Definately different......much more stress on my quads. I have done it before, but Rip was really able to twist and tweak my form until I felt comfortable. I probably need a little less heel than what I have. I think something between what I have now, and my chucks might be optimal. I will say this....435 felt better than 315.

    I think there is a pic of my last set of squats under the SS events forum. Under the recaps thread.

    Read Juli's thread so far. Good stuff. Your squat certainly looks picture perfect. Kudos on your openess to adjust your bench style for the seminar...it's a good thing your are strong as hell anyway, haha.

    Interesting stuff. I just made the switch from Oly shoes to chucks per Steel's recommendation and so far I like them. I seem to be staying more over the mid foot when driving up out of the bottom.

    Very happy with the Press PR today. Previous PR was 5 x 215, so I added 2.5 lbs and added a rep. After the Presses I declared war on my triceps. Short term goal on the press is 275 and I know I don't have the tricep strength to lock it out yet. Gonna work on that

    starting strength coach development program
    I went up to 405 in my WLing shoes, but I switched because I was getting a really really sharp shooting pain down my left hip and into my leg. It didn't happen during the squat, only when I was standing there in upright position. I switched to chucks for 455 to see what would happen and it was gone. I think my opinion on the whole situation is that I like the heeled shoes slightly better overall, but I need less of a heel. Chucks did feel good though.
