I thought about trying that 225 max reps deal but I'm getting close to my next competition and didn't want to get distracted. After the meet I'll spend a couple weeks to see what I can do.

Pretty sure toh would have smoked it fresh. I had 22, after a week of bench. And another guy had 25. You casually toss 20 after a ton of volume ?!

I had a couple bad nights of sleep and a busy schedule so decided to work in a lighter combination bench/squat session.

    Bench, 1st rep paused @ 315 lbs- 3,3,3. Rpe 9.25

Bench @ 225 lbs-20. Quick until very end

    Squats @ 425 lbs- 3,3,3. Rpe 9.5

    Bench, 1st rep paused @ 335 lbs-3,3,3 Rpe 9.5

Press @ 185 lbs-5,5,3 Too fatigued to finish last set.

Bench, 1st rep paused @ 225 lbs-10,23 Rpe 10 last set. I o think these lighter pump sets are helping get some easy volume.

Bodywt 211 lbs. Getting closer to 205 goal.

    Squats @ 425 lbs-5,5 Rpe 9.5
Squats @ 440 lbs-4 PR. Rpe 9.75. Tough but not absolutely terrible.

Chins-15,14,15 These are likely easier due to weight loss.

    Bent rows @ 155 lbs-10,10,10 Rpe 9.5 but exhausting

    Dumbbell curls @ 45 lbs-5,5,5 Rpe 9

Bench, 1st rep paused @ 305 lbs-5,1,2,5 Rpe 9.5 last set. On 2nd set I hit the pins on 1st rep and it threw me off. I racked it and tried again almost immediately but was too fatigued to get in full 5 rep set. After about 5 minutes I could get 5 reps again.

Press @ 175-3,3,3,2,3 4th set I was just too tired to get last rep and lost focus.

Bench @ 225 lbs-10,10,15 Tired by this point

I'm pretty worried about how poorly my last deadlift session went. I suspect it's largely because I've gotten used to straps so the weight just felt really heavy without straps. I'm also concerned about whether I should be using sumo vs conventional at my next meet. I've been strictly training conventional for about 5 months and I thought it was going well until I failed at 485, which shouldn't have been that bad. I'm going to try both sumo and conventional to see where I'm at.

    Sumo deads @ 455 lbs-2 Rpe 9. Didn't seem that bad
Sumo deads @ 385 lbs-4,1 Felt really awkward and heavy.

I then messed around with both conventional and sumo at various weights from 315-385 lbs for singles, trying to see what was best. The end result is I still don't know. Both feel kind of awkward at this point. I'm likely overthinking my form. Using straps has definitely screwed me up in terms of how heavy it feels when it's strapless. No more straps for a while. Hopefully my grip comes back quickly.

Bench, 1st rep paused @ 335 lbs-3,3,2 Rpe 9.25 last set. I felt pretty fatigued by 3rd set so stopped at 2 reps

Press @ 185 lbs-1 @ 197 lbs-0 I was simply too fatigued here from bench. That's ok because I'm focusing on bench and press is just an accessory for right now.

Oh man. You are totally onto it. I started warm ups last week with deads doing hook and they flew.

Back to doh and felt heavy. Which makes sense when I would warm up to 405 doh and 455 mixed felt easier

Yeah- I really need to start working on hook grip. As soon as my meet is done on Oct 22nd, I'll reset and see how it goes.

Bodywt 210 lbs. Getting close to the 205 goal.

Squats @ 460 lbs-3 PR,3 Rpe 9.75. 5 lb PR which is extra good considering I'm still cutting weight and about 20 lbs lighter than when I was last doing multi rep squat pr's.
Squats w/ wraps @ 500 lbs-2. PR. Rpe 10. On 2nd rep the bar pretty much came to complete stop just out of the hole as if it was a paused rep but I barely managed to get it up. 1st time repping 500 lbs- a milestone of sorts. I did this because I want to get a bit of practice in with my wraps.

I was a bit rushed for time at this point so cut accessories down from three sets to two sets.

    Chins-15,15

Bent row @ 135 lbs-10,10 Rpe 9.5. I was pretty tired by this point.

    Dumbbell curls @ 45 lbs-6,6 Rpe 10
