I'll be there. I haven't logged anything for a while. Been way busy, but I'll be there.

Weight cut notes- stopped fluids yesterday at about 11 a.m. As of this morning at 8:00 a.m. I'm at 202.5 lbs. I'm not honestly sure if I will be at 198 or just over it as I am already a little dehydrated. Weigh-in is at 7 pm today.

4-20-2012 NASA Iowa State Meet
I did not make 198.4 lbs- weighed in at 200.1 lbs so got within 1 1/2 lb but couldn't sweat off last bit. I even spent about 2 hours in hot baths trying to lose a little more but was already very dehydrated. I feel comfortable in knowing that I can drop 10 lbs water weight but cannot lose much more without more drastic efforts. Spent the evening eating and drinking fluids and weighed 205 in the morning before competing and felt pretty good.
I met Brian Dillman from these forums at the meet. It was his 1st meet and he did a great job making 7 of 9 lifts and he made his 3rd attempts at bench and deadlift look easy.
Squats- 175 kilos, 185 kilos, 195 kilos PR (430 lbs). Made all three and although 195 felt heavy, still not even really a grinder so I was a little too conservative here.
Bench 135 kilos, 140 kilos (309 lbs), 145 kilos (320 lbs)-fail. Made the first 2 and got stuck on the third about 2 inches off chest. This was pretty disappointing as I did 335 lbs about a month ago touch and go but I weighed about 225 lbs then, and I usually lose about 20 lbs on my paused bench. Also, the bench flight I was in was extremely quick and I don't think 5 minutes elapsed between my 2nd and 3rd bench, so a few more minutes might have helped.
Deadlift 190 kilos, 210 kilos (463 lbs), 220 kilos (485 lbs)- fail. Got first 2 without issue. I did get the 3rd up without hitching as well with much effort but my left foot slipped about 3 inches back just as I got weight to the top so I got red lighted. Very frustrating as it would have been a pr.
Overall did 7 of 9 lifts for total of 545 kilos (1201 lbs) and a coefficient of 6.7821. This also represent 66 lb improvement from the last meet 6 months ago.

Patrick that was nice meeting you there at the meet. It was really helpful to me to have someone there that I know (electronically anyway). Good luck in your training!

Thanks Dillman! It was good that I knew you there- for whatever reason the lifters I usually talk with/warm up with weren't there. Of course, since I didn't make the 198 lb class, I probably wouldn't have been able to warm up with them anyway.

Bodyweight @ 210 lbs
Still a little sore/stiff from meet but I wanted to get back at it.
Squat @ 365 lbs- 3. Pretty tough.
Squat x 5 @ 335 lbs- 1 set. Little tough.
Push press x 5 @ 135 lbs- ok.
Press x 5 @ 135 lbs- ok.
Bench @ 275 lbs- 3. Ok.
Bench x 5 @ 245 lbs- Ok.
Looking at these numbers, especially on squat, makes it clear that I'm not fully recovered. I'm going to be changing things up here programming-wise as I plan on entering a strongman contest in July.

Received my prowler knockoff from Dick's and put it together- it's not bad for the price. I ordered farmers walk bars from Pitbull
(Alan Benninga) last Thursday but they aren't here yet.
Hill runs- 2 runs up hill nearby with water tower. Hard. I had to walk near the end on 1st run and about halfway the 2nd time. I'm in terrible shape, conditioning-wise.
Prowler push- 2 approx 50 ft pushes on concrete with 90 lbs- Ok.

Curious, what made you go with Pitbull farmers? I'll be curious to see them (hint, hint post pics! ). We have a log from him-- solid construction and cheap comparatively speaking, but less finished around the edges than others I've used.

Jenica- I'll make sure to post pictures when I get the farmer's walk implements. Alan said he had some ready to go so I'm expecting them any day now. I went with Pitbull because of cost. At $109 paypal ($105 money order), including shipping, it's hard to beat. I considered making my own out of wood or a weldless build from black steel, but after pricing it out it only looked like I'd be saving $40-$50, and I'm sure these will be much more professional. Do you have the 10" log? I'm considering getting one but I'm waiting a little bit to space out all the purchases as it's getting a little pricey. I've had to buy weights, prowler knockoff from Dick's and the farmer's implements. I'm still going to make my own sandbag and see if I can find a tire.

Bench @ 295 lbs- 3. Easy
Bench x 5 @ 265 lbs- 3 sets. Easy. I'm doing a reset here as I get used to changing programming.
Chins w/ 45 lbs- 5,5,5. Tough with some kipping last set.
Weighted situps w/ 35 lbs- 3,3,2. Tough.
