Have been training a bit, but nothing very interesting:

    Friday 11th Aug - squats to 180 x 5, 160 x 5 x 2, back felt ok; Press for 80 x 5 x 2; 2ct pause deads for 140 x 5

    Tuesday 15th Aug - bench to 140 x 5 @ 7, 127.5 x 5 x 4 @ easy. 3.5 min rests.

    Friday 18th Aug - squat to 185 x 5, 165 x 5 x 2; bench for 142.5 x 5 @ 7, 130 x 5 x 4; strict BB rows for 90 x 8 x 3

Nothing heavy but enjoying some punch the clock, low stress, sessions for now. Back is now pain free, some minor right knee niggle but seems to be clearing up.

    TnG Bench mini-LP - 145 x 5 @ 7.5, 130 x 5 x 4 @ 5.5 - 7 - boring but progressing

2ct pause deads, no belt, Oly shoes - 140 x 5 x 2 - just trying to get some blood into my lower back but felt something in my back on second set. Only minor but no sense hurting it again at the moment.

Me: I'm not in the mood for training, going to skip
Mrs H: No you're not. Your grumpy and mopey - you need to train for everyone else's sake

    She was right, of course

    Press - singles up to 100 x 1 @ 9, 102.5 x 1 @ 9, 105 x 1 @ 10 (left bar out in front). Then 95 x 3 @ 8.5, 75 x 10 @ 8.

Detrained and rusty, but not awful for only my third time pressing in over 3 months, and first time over 80kg since 18th May.

My third and fourth stealers of gainzZz - George & Tomos - arrived on 2nd September. We had them all home from hospital by the 8th. They are awesome. I've unashamably prioritised hanging out with them in the last few weeks, and sleep has been minimal.

Haven't squatted in over a month, or touched a bar at all in 3.5 weeks. I now have four kids under 5 so getting weak is not an option. Back to it.

    Comp squat - singles up to 210 x 1 @ 7.5, 185 x 5 @ 7 - everything felt very heavy, as expected

    Mid-grip TnG bench - singles up to 150 x 1 @ 8, 130 x 5 @ 7.5 - also weak, as expected

Kept volume low to mitigate the inevitable soreness. Onward and upward!
