Just took a look at the meet recap. Good work! I had a similar experience with the bench press last year, nearly bombing out, so I 'feel your pain'.
Nicely done, though. Bravo!
Thank you. It was a good meet and I came out of it with some lessons.
I will just practice perfect reps on that bench until it is second nature developing some new cues and tension patterns will take a while.
Training alone makes for a very reliable and consistent training atmosphere. No let down when someone doesn't show up. No having to convince them on the training program you want to follow. It really is all you. Which makes the motivation on the platform when you do have people cheering and watching live feel more powerful. I don't know if I could tolerate another person all the time now that I have done this alone for so long. Occasionally would be fun and different but in reality this is an individual effort.

Thanks Karl,
I really appreciate everyone's comments.

The squat video with ACDC playing is awesome. When I'm your age I want to be like you and lift some heavy weight with cool music playing in my garage as well!
Now you are making me feel old. But I get it.
Great beltless squats. I don't know if I've gone over 315 beltless on squat, although I got too psyched up and almost forgot to put it on on something 4+, ha. My training partner had to pull me out from under the bar before I unracked it.
I remember the meet director being impressed with your concise squat walkout and setup. It's something I need to work on to not waste energy.
Edited to say: I was looking at one of your bench vids from a few weeks ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Xq0SH0uaRQ
I was wondering if it'd be useful to do some benches in either a tighter-fitting pair of shorts or maybe even your singlet. I can see your butt move when you start driving up but in the video it appears to remain on the bench. I could see baggy shorts like you've got on could give the impression that your butt is still on the bench, whereas a tight-fitting singlet would show otherwise.

Hmmm tight shorts.. I am going to have to look into that. I might just throw on an old Singlet though. I have neighbors.
