As I prep for meet, I just wanted to do some singles. Feel ok until I attempted 340, ill advised. I got out of the hole but just couldn't get past the pain in my right side. It should be ok. I have two weeks and no more fucking around with heavy squats until meet day.

Since the upcoming meet is only to qualify for nationals in October, in all likelihood I will sandbag squats at the meet. I will do only the first attempt using light weight, probably 280. I will probably not do my second and third attempts. To qualify as a master, all you need to do is post a weight.

    paused bench
    245 x 2, 2
    250 x 1

    negatives/deadstops
    280lbs/225 x 1,1,1

    rows
    185 x 5

here is my set up for negatives/deadstops
    bench in a power rack
set pins at a height so when the bar rest on the pins it is just on my chest. I load the bar with 280lbs, with a spotter on the hand off, I take the bar and do the negative as slow as I can until the bar is sitting on the pins

I get out from under the bar, bar is still on the pins, I deload to 225, crawl back under the bar, get in position under the bar, tighten up and press the bar off the pins. rest 3 minutes repeat.
Awesome workout. The 225 from a dead stop flew off the pins.
