    Default Garage Gym Wanderings of a Wanna-be Masters Powerlifter

    Weight: ~195 lbs

    I'm in Week 12 of LP. However, this isn't my 1st go-around at LP. I'm getting back at it after a 9 month - 1 year lifting hiatus. I also have a previous log(s ??) here, but haven't been active for probably a couple of years.

    Current lifts:
    Squat: 290×5
    Bench 175x5x3
    Press 122.5×5
    DL 345×5

    My plan is to continue with LP and then transition to KSC Texas Method. I have decided that once I turn 40 in 2019, I will compete in a PL meet as a M1 lifter. I did a PL meet in 2015 and my performance was nothing to write home about. I weighed in at the bottom of the 105kg class so I was out-classed for sure. Also my technique on the lifts was not ideal. Once I run thru LP and KSC Texas Method, I'll work on getting my weight down in hopes of making the 83kg class. We shall see.

    Starting this week (Week 12), my training days will look like this:

    Day 1
    Squat: Top set×5, 2 back-offs×5
    Bench: 3x5
    Chins

    Day 2
    Light Squat
    Press (Light Day KSC Texas Method Rx)
    DL×5

    Day 3
    Squat Top set ×5, 2 back-offs×5
    Bench: 3×5
    Rows 3×8
