Philippee my 23 year old trainee squatting 670 after doing 4x2@650. He will squat over 700 October 27th for Nationals. 15 months ago he was squatting 480. All raw and natural. We don't take supplements or vitamins, just real food. And hard ass workouts.

Damn, just found out the Oblique Popliteal Ligament is also torn. The doctors are now saying another 8 weeks of recovery. That doesn't leave enough time to train, so I canceled the trip to St Louis for the October 27th National. Instead I will try to make the USAPL National June 2025 in Atlanta. It will probably be my last meet.

The injured leg seems to be holding up. In a week or so I'll start doing a regular workout. I just wanted to test the water a little. The WRPF Nationals is back on the table in St Louis October 27th. I might not be 100%, but at my age you try it anyways. No guarantees I will be around for the next meet.

That is all my old shoulder would allow. I hate bench now. I think it should be squat, clean & jerk, deadlift in powerlifting. Oh well, fucking break dancing is now in the Olympics and powerlifting isn't. All that subjective shit should be left out. I say he got 8.5, no I say he only got 7.0. Just opinions, like assholes, everyone has one. Maybe before I die powerlifting will all come together, get rid of the gear, and become an Olympic sport. Yes, if you wear gear, it isn't you doing all the lifting. Raw and raw classic only. I have always been raw until both knees are now shot. I have to wear some kind of wrap on my knees now. But a damn suit that will let you squat 200, 300, 400 more pounds is ridiculous. Same with bench shirt. I see all these guys squatting 900 to 1,000 pounds and ony deadlift 600-700 pounds. End of my rant.

Little bit of a set back today. My right injured leg and knee just didn't want to work.
Deadlift
1@315 I was showing a young guy the correct way to pull. Forgot I had my squat shoes on. He now wants to join our little group of 5 powerlifters. He has good potential.

Leg felt good and I finally got over my 335 sticking point with my injured leg. I forgot to log my 08/15/24 workout. I do remember 1x3@275
and 2x3@315, 1x2@325 deadlifts but can't remember squat.
