I din't think I would do squats today. Pretty sick, coughing sneezing, difficult to breathe. I am happy that I did something though. The Nationals are only weeks away and I am not ready. All I can do is my best that day.

I went to do 340 and my right knee gave way. I rested and reset.
2x2@320 If I tried going down to competition depth the knee would give out. So I was about an inch high on those 2 sets. ACL is badly sprained.

There is a 19 year old personal trainer at the gym I am going to. Every time he sees me he says, I am coming for you old man. I will out squat you soon. I say to him, you know I am 72? Yeah, and I am coming for you. In the first place you should be tying to beat someone your age and I out squat you now by over a 120 pounds! Actually more than that because you are only doing belt squats! What happened to respecting your elders? Never in my life would I challenge someone more than 2-3 years from my age and that would only be for fun with a buddy. Geez!

Knee wrap popped off squatting 350 and my old knee gave out. Getting an injection next week. Without the knee wraps I would have to give up.

I just received an email telling me the the WRPF is no more but is Powerlifting United now! After October I will be back in the USAPL. I just wanted to go to this National meet in front of all my friends and family in St Louis. In June 2025 I will be going to Atlanta for USAPL Nationals. It is still weight and powerlifting.

It went down with no pain but just as I tried to push it was over. I think I will start an association and have squat, overhead, and deadlift for full power. Want a single lift, stone lifts only. I would give anything I have if they could fix my shoulder. At my age and the damage to it, all 7 of the world class surgeons I have been to say, no way. The only time in real life I have used bench is to lift up an automatic transmission into a truck. I lifted it and the wife stuck 3 bolts for me.
