Compare the workload: your bodyweight multiplied by the total amount of reps, then do the same thing for the curls, include the warm ups (40kg x 25, work set. 20kg x 10, warm ups. add together = 1200kg lifted, just for curls ). The curls total volume will probably be higher.

You don't have to do many sets of chins since it's a recovery day, unless you can handle it and want to.
