How long have you been doing SS? Tack them in at the end. 3 sets to failure, or 3x5 with weight. Don't do dips and chins on the same day.

When you get to intermediate levels, and you're doing dips/chins with significant weight, you may want to cut them out. I had a hard time recovering for press exercises until I cut weighted dips.
i did ss last year for about 6 months w/ out dips and chins. this year i started back up during mid feb.
I recall seeing it like this
Workout A
3x5 squat
3x5 bench press
1x5 deadlift
2x5-8 dips
workout b
3x5 squat
3x5 military press
5x3 power cleans or 3x5 bent b rows
3x8 pullups/chins if you did power cleans
Is this right?
No incarnation of SS uses dips. None. Rip recommends chins over pullups. Buy the book.
im in highschool, i would buy it but i dont have my own money. And why chins over pullups wouldnt it help the lats more?
Chins work the arms much more than pullups and work the back the same. Do either one or alternate them like press and bench. I like bent over rows myself.
oh yeah, because chins are usually easier, so they recruit more muscles.
