    Hi KSC,
I was hoping you could give me an idea of an optimal warm-up rep pattern for my deadlift intensity day on Texas Method. My latest pull was 430lbsx3x1 after pulling 425lbsx5x1 the previous week. My recent pattern has been
    135x5
    225x5
    275x3
    315x1
    365x1
    405x1
    Work set
Is this too much, or too little, or okay?

    Thanks,
    Jeff

If 430 was going to be my workset for 3-5 reps, then 405 might be a just a little too high for a final warm up set, even for just a single. You basic premise is correct though of "single-ing up" to your workset. Maybe make your last warm up closer to 385-395 range and see if that helps??

Thanks Andy. That makes sense, because the 405 single definitely takes a bit out of me. I'll back off on the last warm-up weight.
