    Hey Andy,

I am 6'2", 299, 38y.o. Using TM for Squat, 315x5x5 and 360x5. My macros are 300/360/160. I hit them consistently. I sleep 7-8 hrs per night, usually 8+ on the weekends.

I say all that to talk about my LP for OHP and BP. I am still doing LP for these two and for DL. I reset by 10% on both presses at 227.5 for BP and 150 for OHP. My current sets are 232.5x5x3 for BP and 162.5x5x3 for OHP. The thing is, I do not feel like I am recovering between WOs, but I am still progressing these lifts. When I say I am not recovering, I mean that my upper body still feels tight, not sore, but just tight through my shoulders.

Is this normal? Should I just keep pushing LP on presses until my lifts stall out again?

Also for DL, I have found that I can do DL on VD for two weeks, and then I have to take a week off to let my recovery take place. I am currently DLing 385x5.

Should I look at programming DL differently, or keep doing what has worked so far?

    Thanks,

    Joe

Tight is fine. As long as you are progressing then carry on. Deadlift strategy sounds fine.
