Just did my 1st session of Andy's TX Method last night and looking for any others who are doing or have done this program.

I have that program but have not run it. KSC TM is more structured/hand held for you and has more conservative progression than stock TM. I have run two other TM programs that had a similar structure. My first attempt sucked because I still had form issues on all lifts and didn't pick starting weights correctly. My second TM run went great. 6-8 weeks on continued PR's. You should do fine as long as form is dialed in, otherwise you'll likely be buried like many others attempting TM when the weight gets heavy.

After my 1st session of KSC TM, I would say my metabolic conditioning is the weak point. I tried to keep rest periods at 5 minutes, but had to bump the rest periods up as squats went on. After a couple of weeks of keeping rest periods as minimal as possible along with the 2 conditioning days Andy prescribes, that should improve.

Keeping the short rest periods early in the program is a good strategy for sure. Later on, you'll have to extend your rest. Add in the conditioning he suggests if possible. I've added in 2 HITT Airdyne bike sessions per week to my current 4 day TM and it's been working great.

I'm trying to decide if I should get this program! Does it have power cleans programmed into it?

Also, does Andy's KSC TM show you how to program it for a 4 day split? Or is only the 3 day split available?

I bought it but haven't done it. It is more conservative than traditional TM, which is why it will probably work better for most.

Main reason I haven't tried his TM is because some of his other programs just work so damn well. I'm thinking of Garage Gym Warrior in particular, which is HLM with a twist. We are running that now in his online barbell club.

The deadlift volume day is a stiff legged deadlift and not a power clean. He does say in the FAQ section that you can swap power cleans for SLDL, but he doesn't recommend it. For most people, PC's don't provide enough stress to provide a DL adaption. I think he's right. Unless your powerclean is 50%+ of your DL, I wouldn't substitute.

The default template is 3 days but he tells you how to set it up for 4 days--also in the FAQ.

I’ve been doing the 4 day split for about 8 weeks and it’s awesome. I like hitting rep prs every 3 weeks, instead of every week. The rotating volume/intensity makes it a lot more manageable.

I’m getting pretty close to hitting all my previous 1rms for singles across without too much trouble, and I don’t feel beat up from it.

I'm 10 weeks in with a 4 day TM with a similar rotation and it's been working great have hit multiple PR's.

I don't suppose anybody has dome this KSC TM variation as well as having done any of the other TM variations as well?

I have done a standard 3 day (before I knew about some of the things I should have like avoiding volume warrior and running it out or rotating ID reps) and a fairly straightforward 4 day (split each of upper and lower into two) in the past, looking ahead to my next bulk and not sure which one to go with.

I just got the KSC TM and am considering it, as a 4 day...but it's hard not to pick the UV/LV UI/LI I have experience with. So wondering if anybody can compare and contrast the different Texas Methods
