    Default Texas method variation

Does anyone have any experience with a TM variation where you do a lower body volume day on monday, an upper body volume day on wednesday and a full body intensity day on friday. It would be a combination of a conventional TM and the four day version. With a focus on the press I'm thinking it could look something like this.

    Squat 5×5
    Power clean 5×3

    Press 5×5
    Light bench 3×5

    Squat 1×5
    Press 1×5
    Deadlift 1×5

I haven't found any content about a template like this anywhere even though to me it seems like a pretty reasonable and logical version. Any comments?

Where does your heavy bench go?

I did something like this for a few weeks at the end of my last TM run and yes it works pretty well. I think what I did was:
    M: volume press, volume squat
W: light squat, power snatch, bench (3x5)
    F: Intensity press, squat, DL

In this example I was thinking about focusing on only the press and using the bench as a supplemental exercise with lighter weight because I have had some shoulder issues with the bench.

This'll probably work then, but I'd do Monday, Tuesday, Friday instead.
