pre planning a taper. PR in trraining or meet?
In the grey book, under TM for powerlifting, it is suggested to pre plan an 8-12 week cycle with conservative PRs at the end. Does this mean to PR the last week before your taper in training, or to wait to attempt the PR until your meet? Im unclear bc it also says that the lifter should not be grinding 5's on volume day nor should they attempt a 1RM at any time. What is your experience with PR's in relations to meet prep? Thank you

PRs should happen at the meet, if it's a power meet. Very seldom do PRs happen at Olympic weightlifting meets.
